If anyone you know, or you yourself are having issues with any substance abuse or concerns around addiction of any sort, here's some useful information:
James, an addiction support worker, will be based here in Crinken 5 days a week from July. In order to avail of this support, you must book through the office at DLR Community Addiction Team info@dlrcat.ie or call 01 2177140.
Each week there are Alcoholic Anonymous (Mondays 8.30pm) & Cocaine Anonymous (Wednesdays 8pm) meetings at Crinken. For more information about AA, telephone 01 8420700; for CA, telephone 1800 998866.
AA support for family members, or close friends, affected by addiction is available at 01 873 2699 between 10am & 10 pm daily.
If there is an issue with gambling of any kind, there is a helpline run by Gambling Care on 1800 936 725. There is also support for family, or close friends, affected at Gamblers Anonymous, telephone 01 872 1133.
The HSE also operates a confidential freephone helpline on 1800 459 459 from Monday to Friday between 9:30am & 5:30 pm. Email at any time on helpline@hse.ie. You can email to ask for a callback or opt to leave a voicemail to ask for a callback.
