Church in Chains
Please pray for 70 Christan believers from a Muslim background arrested in Iran over the Christmas period in a crackdown ordered by the govenor of Tehran, Morteza Tamsdon. He plans to arrest more Christians in the coming days. Pray that those detailed will know the presence and peace of Jesus in their cells, and be released soon.

Loretta Carroll
After almost 21 years Loretta will be leaving Chad in October 2011. The recent International conference went very well. Much time was spent preparing an 8 year plan. Plans include setting up a Christian radio station in Abeche, expanding the dental service, and developing the chidren’s ministries. The UN security has left and there is now a joint Chadian/Sudanese force in place. Pray that peace will continue.

Fields of Life
Please pray for the appointment of the most suitable person for the position of the East African Operations manager. Interviews are being held this week. Pray for this year 2011 that each of the staff would grow in knowledge and love of God and learn to trust solely Him.

Linda and Werner
Werner has a new leadership team which seem to be working well. The church’s contact with one of the poorer neighbouring town section has continued. Many of the free evangelical churches gathered together for a joint service. Linda’s Sunday school with the Methodists is expanding – regular baptisms! – now offering three age groups once a month and parents appear to appreciate the idea. After lots of extemely hard work, renovations to the basement are almost complete.
